45-Hour, State-Approved Study in Residential House Wiring
Description
This course is a full 45-hour hands-on lab where the student will wire every component of a residential structure. From the meter on the outside of the home, to installing the panel, wiring switches, plugs, smoke detectors, lights, and more. The student will receive detailed instruction and insights on how to make installations according to the National Electrical Code. By the end of this course, the student will have wired and installed every component typically seen in a home.
Students who choose to take this course through Self-Paced learning will receive access to videos which correspond to chapter assignments. Upon completion of videos and assigned reading, review questions will be completed in preparation for a final exam.
Prerequisites: Basic Electricity I & Basic Electricity II
Required Materials: Scientific Calculator (capable of SIN, COS, TAN functions)
