45-Hour, State-Approved Study in Electrical Motors
Description
This 45-hour course will give the student a basic understanding of both DC and AC rotating machines. Students will gain a working knowledge of motors in theory, construction types, and basic operating principles. This course covers single-phase as well as 3-phase motor types.
This course, taken in the classroom, does have a few hands-on labs. Students who choose to take this course via livestream will be given modified assignments to ensure learning goals are met.
The student is required to have their own copy of the NEC. All other books will be provided.
Prerequisites: Basic Electricity I, Basic Electricity II
