45-Hour, State-Approved Study in Electrical Motors
Description
This 45-hour course will give the student a basic understanding of both DC and AC rotating machines. Students will gain a working knowledge of motors in theory, construction types, and basic operating principles. This course covers single-phase as well as 3-phase motor types. This course requires the student to have their own copy of the current National Electrical Code book. Students will study the material and show proficiency of understanding through chapter review questions as they prepare for a final exam.
Prerequisites: Basic Electricity I, Basic Electricity II
Required Materials:
- Scientific Calculator (capable of SIN, COS, TAN functions)
- Student is required to have their own copy of the NEC book
